More often than not I hear clients or potential clients come to me and say there is something off. I am working too much, parenting too much, spousing too much, eating too much, exercising too much, being tired too much, and the list is endless. What most people are searching for is what they call "Balance". They want to have it all and not leave anyone behind or feeling left out of their life.
Here's the thing, what you are really searching for is "Fulfillment". You can work a lot and having loving relationships. You can work a little and have lots of family time. You can create the life that you love, but remember this, if you gauge "working a lot" by the past 2 weeks when an event was happening then you are looking at life as an all or nothing mindset which will never leave room for true Bliss.
Take the average and see if you are fulfilled in many ways. I've worked for companies where I did spend most of my waking hours in "work-mode" and I also found myself attached to an EKG machine because of that way of life. Now, tomorrow as I look forward to going fishing on a weekday I know it's because I carved that into my blissful calendar. I also am much more mindful to take care of myself as well as spend quality time with those that fill my heart with love and passion.
Sometimes it may only be 1 hour or 5 minutes, but I make sure that it's the best darn 5 minutes I can give. I catch myself on my phone too long and then put it on Ultra Power Saving mode so there is nothing that can grab my attention when I'm spending time with another. I am mindful, I AM FULFILLED.
